Honest cooking, unhurried service

Breakfast is a proper spread – pastries baked here, fruit, cooked dishes to order. Evenings are à la carte: a short menu that changes with the season rather than a bible of choices.

Afternoon tea and sundowners

Tea is served in the lounge from 2pm. The terrace bar opens for apertifs when the weather allows – ask about our house spritz.

When we serve

Breakfast

Served 7.30-10.30am daily. Full English, porridge, kippers and a generous continental table.

Lunch

12-2.30pm. Two courses from the daily menu or bar snacks if you only want something light.

Dinner

6.30-9pm. Book a table even if you are staying – we keep walk-ins where we can.
