Tracing the house through old photographs

A small display outside the library shows how the house looked from the 1890s through to the 1970s, using prints from our archive and loans from former staff.

Captions explain extensions, wartime use and the shift from private home to hotel. It is a quiet corner meant for five minutes with a coffee rather than a full exhibition.

Ask reception for a short guide sheet if you want more context. Photography without flash is welcome.
